Shimla and Manali are two of the most popular hill stations in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, known for their breathtaking landscapes, colonial architecture, and adventure activities. Here’s a brief overview of both:
Shimla:
- Known as the “Queen of Hill Stations,” Shimla was once the summer capital of British India. It is renowned for its colonial charm, lush greenery, and panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
- The Ridge is the main promenade in Shimla, offering stunning views of the mountains and hosting various cultural events and festivals.
- Mall Road is the bustling heart of Shimla, lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy shopping for souvenirs, sampling local cuisine, and taking leisurely strolls.
- Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, is situated atop Jakhu Hill and offers magnificent vistas of Shimla.
- Other attractions include Christ Church, Viceregal Lodge, Kufri (a nearby hill station famous for skiing and adventure activities), and Annandale (a historic playground and picnic spot).
Manali:
- Nestled in the Beas River Valley, Manali is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, including snow-capped mountains, lush valleys, and gushing rivers.
- Rohtang Pass, located about 51 kilometers from Manali, is a major attraction known for its breathtaking landscapes and opportunities for snow activities like skiing and snowboarding (available in season).

- Hadimba Devi Temple, dedicated to the goddess Hadimba, is a unique wooden temple surrounded by cedar forests and is a significant religious site.
- Old Manali is known for its bohemian vibe, with quaint cafes, lively markets, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
- Manikaran, located near Manali, is famous for its hot springs and pilgrimage sites.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Once you reach the Delhi Airport / Railway Station, an our representative offers an assisted transfer to your first destination Shimla, by road. As you arrive, check-in at the hotel. After settling into the rooms, the day is at your own discretion. Spend the day doing the activities of your interest. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Post breakfast, day 2 is scheduled for an excursion to Kufri, a must-visit place. Placed at an altitude of 2290 m above sea level, Kufri is blessed with tranquility and scenery. It is dotted with tourist attractions like Mahasu Peak, Chini Bungalow, Indira Tourist Park, etc. When back in Shimla, visit the Vice Regal Lodge- once the summer residence of various British viceroys, it boasts an interesting English Renaissance architecture. After that in the evening, enjoy a leisure walk on the Mall Road. Delicious Dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast on the 3rd day, get transferred by road to Manali. Placed at an altitude of 2050 m above sea level, Manali is a very popular hill station flocked by a large number of tourists every year. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. Get some rest. The evening is at leisure. You can enjoy a visit to Mall Road and then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, get all set for visiting the prime attractions of Manali, including Hadimba Devi Temple, Jagatsukh, and Vashisht Kund. Later in the day, explore the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center. Then, take a walk up to the old Vashisht village. Back to the hotel for dinner. Stay overnight.
The day is scheduled for enjoying the sights and experiences at Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass. Our pre-arranged car will take you to enjoy the spectacular views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains. In addition, you can indulge in adventure opportunities in Solang Valley like zorbing and paragliding.
The next visit of the day is to Rohtang Pass,( By Union Car on direct payment) covered with snow all-round the year, lying at an elevation of 3,978 m. It is open from June to October. Enjoy playing with snow here. The day would be filled with fun activities and various mesmerizing sights.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
PS: Rohtang Pass excursion is not included in our package cost due to Manali Taxi Union. It will be chargeable extra payable directly by the guests as per the taxi union permit.
Note: Rohtang Pass will be closed every Tuesday & sightseeing tours will be possible subject to weather conditions.
After your breakfast, make your way to Chandigarh. Chandigarh, located at the foothills of the enormous Shivalik Range, is famous for its elegant structures and manicured gardens. Visit the Government Museum & Art Gallery in Chandigarh, a place that exhibits a splendid collection of miniature paintings, Gandhara period stone sculptures, coins, and decorative arts. The International Dolls Museum in Chandigarh, situated at Bal Bhawan, is another fascinating attraction. Follow this up with an overnight stay.
After having breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to New Delhi. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the airport for your onward destination.
