Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
With a amazing flight to Srinagar, you will be met by Getaways India representative and transferred you to the houseboat or hotel and we begin to explore the paradise with a half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens bulit during the Mughal reign in Kashmir , the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). And later to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake would give you a pleasant feeling of being in world 's most beatiful mountains with scenic beauty around the Lake. Overnight at houseboat.
The day begins with a beautiful drive trail to Gulmarg, the most beautiful hill station in Kashmir and also popular for its leisure golf course (in summer), the highest in the world and adventure skiing during the winter season where one can enjoy the splendor of nature and adventure. One can haveexperience Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg .Drive back to srinagar and overnight at houseboat
After an morning tea and sumptuous breakfast ,drive to one of the most exhilarating and beautiful drive in the world ,Srinagar to Leh via Kargil and road passes through the panoramic village to reach Sonmarg (2740 mtrs) , which folllows up with lush green fileds on both the sides After Sonmarg the road is mostly rough and wet to Zojila pass 3527 mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh) mostly covered with snow and the drive continue towards Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world) were we stop for refreshments and passport check. Another few hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 mtrs) which is our mid way to Leh. Overnight at hotel.
A full day drive , a transition from green valleys to barren stark mountains of ladakh . Today we ascend few passes and experience the first Buddhist village ,Mulbek , the gaint statue of Matreya buddha , believed to be naturally existed . We cross the highest pass (Fotula 4166 mtrs.) reaching Lamayuru village and have our lunch and later we will be at Lamayuru oldest Monastery. Continue drive through the lower valleys of ladakh ( shyam ) with crossing village like basgo ,Nimu a view of Zanskar River following into Indus and the confluence and ultimately we reach Leh (3500 mtrs). Overnight at hotel.
After lunch will visit Shanti stupa , Leh Palace and the local market of Leh. Shanti Stupa built by Japanese monks to promote world peace, this large, hilltop stupa has brightly colored reliefs on its mid-levels and is topped by a spired white hemisphere. Later visit Leh Palace, built in the 17th century in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture. And evening roam around the local market to shop and try some local cuisine. Overnight inn Leh.
After an early breakfast ,drive to beautiful NubraValley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft) with the zig zag trail continues and drive till Hundar village. On arrival check in Nature's nest North camp. Afternoon enjoy the beauty of sand dune and double hump camel. Overnight at Camp or Hotel.
Today , we get early morning visit to Diskit monastery and have wonderful view of Nubra valley. Drive to Pangong lake via Shayok valley . Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you up awestruck . Spent your Hotel.afternoon enjoy the beauty of Pangong lake and later Check in the camp .Overnight at Pangong.
After a late breakfast , we stroll in and around lake and watch the mother nature soothes you .Later drive back to Leh. Overnight Hotel.
After an early breakfast ,depart to airport for onward destination ….fly with sweet memories of Ladakh.
