Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Hotel - Hyaat Regency/ Marriott Fairfield
- Dehradun is our main base for the Heli-tours. It is the starting & ending point.
- GTWI provides a complimentary stay on the date of arrival, but no meals are included – which can be included at an additional cost.
- Passengers are picked up from Dehradun Airport/railway station/bus stand. Please note, arrival details must be provided to GTWI at the time of booking.
- Passengers should try to reach Dehradun by 02:00 pm, or earlier, so that they are completely ready to start their Chardham journey the next day early morning.
- In the evening, our team will be doing the tour briefing to the passengers, & provide them duffel bags for carrying only necessary things on the trip – Up to 5 kg/person will be permitted.

Hotel - Kalindi hill top/ Yamuna Kriti Resorts / Similar
- This is starting day of the Chardham yatra. Passengers will check-out early morning from the hotel at 05:00 am. They will be picked-up from the Hotel by our staff, & taken to SahastraDhara Helidrome.
- Our ground staff would welcome the passengers. The staff will then get the passengers settled in the Waiting lounge, where the Pre-Flight briefing will be given. The passengers will then be boarded in the aircraft.
- After landing at Kharsali, passengers will be checked-in to hotels and then they will be taken for Yamunotri Darshan.
Approximate time taken for Yamunotri Temple Darshan: Approximately 05hrs 30mins (round-trip). Yamunotri trek is 06 km one-way.
Sightseeing at Kharsali: Hot Spring at Yamunotri Temple, Yamuna Mata Temple, Shani Temple.Accommodation at Kharshali is basic with limited.

Hotel :- Himalyan nature resort / Harshil village Resorts / similar
- Passengers will check-out by 0530 hrs. Departure from Kharsali will be at 0630 hrs, & the estimated time of arrival at Harshil/Jhalla will be 0700 hrs.
- Harshil – The second destination of our tour, also known for the extensive apple orchards there, is the most scenic and beautiful destination of this tour.
- Passengers will be taken for Gangotri Dham Darshan after breakfast or lunch, depending upon rush at temple.
- Approximate Time taken for Gangotri Temple Darshan: 3hrs 30mins. (round-trip). The road distance to Gangotri temple is approx. 25 km, which is roughly a 50-minute drive.
- Sightseeing at Harshil: Harshil has many places & nature walks around to explore. Passengers will be taken to explore any of the following:
- Bagodi Village walk / Short trek to Chholmi village / Nature walk from Jhala / Shiv Temple in Harshil.

Hotel :- Kedar Kantha / Char machan / Similar
- Passengers will be checked-out by 0600 hrs. Arrival at Sersi will be by 0730 hrs.
- Sersi – operate the shuttle services for Kedarnath ji shrine from here.
- Passengers will be ferried to Kedarnath Dham for darshan in a shuttle services flight, after their breakfast.
- Approximate time taken for Kedarnath Temple Darshan: 02 hours.
The shuttle services flight Sersi to Kedarnath is approx. 07 minutes long.
*Disclaimer – Accommodation at Kedarnath-top is budget category, and there can be instances of complaints in regard to the hotel services & rooms. Furthermore, temperature as well as oxygen level at Kedarnath-top may drop to sub-zero levels at night in Sep/Oct, therefore passengers are advised to take decision keeping the same in consideration. GTWS will not be responsible for any incident for guest staying at Kedarnath top.
Rudra-Abhishek Puja at Kedarnath Ji: 6,500 Rs. For 05 people.
Total amount has to be paid in cash to GTWI representative at Dehradun or Kedarnath top, so that we can arrange and book the Puja in advance on behalf of each passenger.
Arrangement of Rudra Abhishek puja will be done subject to availability of rooms at Kedarnath-Top, as passengers will have to stay there overnight for the puja. Therefore, the additional charges towards the hotel stay will be extra chargeable.
Note – Rudra Abhishek Puja will not be included in our package or billing cost, since the total amount for the same goes directly to Kedarnath ji Mandir Samiti

- Passengers will have breakfast by 0700 hrs at kedarnath / Sersi & be ready for their flight to Badrinath by 0800 hrs.
- Passengers will be taken for darshan to Badrinath temple in the afternoon after lunch.
- Approximate time taken for Badrinath Temple Darshan: Approx. 01-1.5 Hrs is taken to have darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Passengers will be taken from Hotel to the temple by car.
- Sightseeing at Badrinath: Mana Village – Known as the ‘Last village of India’, due to its proximity to the China border.
Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple – Swaran/Chandi Aarti (on additional payment basis directly at Badrinath).

- Passengers who have pre-booked Maha Abhishek Puja, have to be ready early morning by 0330 hrs. Puja shall take place from 0430 hrs to 0630 hrs.
- Badrinath ji hotel check-out time is 0730 hrs.
- Estimated time of arrival will be 0930 hrs at Sahastradhara. On arrival, our team will be present to receive the passengers. Later, they will be taken to Dehradun hotel to collect the luggage from cloak rooms, and then be dropped to airport/railway station.
- In case passengers would like to spend an additional night at Dehradun, accommodation can be arranged by GTWI at an additional cost. The same must be informed to us at the time of booking.
- After the final transfer, we will bid farewell to the passengers.
- Above mentioned time and schedule is tentative, in order to understand Chardham flying routine cycle. It can be change and reschedule as per condition prevailing at time of flying.

TERMS, CONDITIONS AND GUIDELINES:
*Fixed flight timings:
This is a Daily Fixed Departure Helicopter tour, and all departure timings of each destination is fixed. Therefore, passengers must ensure they report as per the scheduled ETDs on each day of the tour, other-wise they will be considered NO- SHOW.
*COVID travel guidelines:
COVID protocols shall be adhered by the passengers and GTWI as per the effective mandate of the government. Without adhering to the government guidelines, boarding can be denied to the passengers without refund.
*Helicopter weight limitations:
The maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is upto 450 kg (excluding baggage weight).
Passengers are taken on board depending up on the load and temperature conditions. Pilots call will be final. Total weight of all passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers are required to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking.
*Passenger weights:
Passengers have to submit their correct weights at the time of booking. If any change in weight found at the time of their travel from the submitted weights, which would exceed our aircraft’s weight carrying capacity of 450 kg, passenger(s) would be de-boarded & cancelled for the Heli-tour without any refund.
*Over-weight charges: On per seat only
Overweight charges for Chardham helicopter are applicable @ INR 2500/kg. This will be chargeable to passengers weighing above 75 kg.
Furthermore, any discrepancy found in the weights of the passengers, which would be chargeable as per the overweight criteria, the same would be collected prior to boarding of flights.
*Baggage Allowance:
Only one baggage weighing a maximum of upto 2-5 Kgs is allowed per passenger.
It Is not permitted to carry suitcases or any other luggage bags in the helicopter. Therefore, duffle bags are provided by our staff to all passengers on the day of arrival. Baggage weight is allowed as per group total body weight. In-case body weight of group exceeds allowable limit of 450kg then luggage will be carried by road at additional cost of all passenger travelling in that chopper.
In view of our helicopters’ limited weight carrying capacity, we reserve the right to shuffle passengers between helicopters to manage the right weight for safe flying in the hills. Therefore, passengers travelling together may not be accommodated in same helicopter flight.
*Arrival date:
Our Chardham 4N5D Heli-tours are booked departure date wise. However, passengers have to arrive Dehradun one day prior to the departure date. Dehradun complimentary night stay which is provided on the arrival date makes our package a 5Night/6Days tour. The actual flying commences from day 02 of the tour.
*Seating Capacity:
The maximum seating capacity for our helicopters is 06 passengers + 01 Crew.
*Infants:
Infant below 2 years upto 12kg are accommodated free of charge. For verification of age the child, ID proof/birth certificate of the child will be checked.
*Bad weather and force majeure disclaimer:
Flying in hills is subject to bad weather, and many Force Majeure factors like delayed Air Traffic Clearances/Permissions, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), sudden occurrence of technical snag in aircraft, illness of flying crew or late reporting of the passengers at the helipads, among others. Therefore, passengers must be prepared to face any eventuality and inconvenience in case of such scenarios.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
GTWI will not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the passengers. Therefore, in your own interest, passengers are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get medical check-up done before commencing the yatra. Medical check-up is mainly required if a passenger has any medical ailment or condition.
BAD WEATHER AND FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES
*Where bad weather, technical snags or any force majeure reason beyond GTWI Services’ control results in the cancellation of your flight being delayed or cancelled, GTI will not be liable in any way for the cancelled or delayed flight. However, refund will be given to clients as per our refunds policy. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation or reimbursement for accommodation, transportation, meals or any other extra travel expenses done by the passengers shall be offered in the event of cancellation of a flight.
*In case tour departure does not take place from Dehradun on Day One due to above reasons, tour will be considered as cancelled and full refund minus 10%,will be refunded immediately as per our policies will be made.
*However, in case the passengers would like to consider taking the tour on the next available date, a fresh booking can be made for the same. Our team will propose the available options to the passengers.
*The balance/unutilized amount against previous booking can be adjusted against the fresh booking. And any extra costs that would be accruing, will have to be borne by the passengers.
*In case the tour departs from Dehradun as per schedule but gets disrupted, while the tour is ongoing, our team will propose the possible revised itinerary within the scheduled package days, but without any extension of days.
*Any extension, proposed by the passengers, in the package will only be considered at an extra cost and subject to operational viability.
*In case for 05 straight days flying does not take place, full refund minus 10% as per our policies will be made to the passengers.
*New Chardham passenger(s) scheduled for departure from Dehradun on any respective travel date shall be our top priority, over the back-log passenger(s) of previous days(s).
*Additional night halt charges will be payable by the passengers to hotels on direct payment basis, when they get stuck for additional nights due to bad weather/force majeure reasons.
*GTWI may not fly to Harsil/Jhalla, in case of turbulent wind conditions – which is often in the Harsil valley after 1200 Hrs.
*If any passenger(s) require ferry flights to be operated for them in emergency, cost for the same will be charged to the party @ INR 125,000/hr plus GST.
*While the tour is ongoing, if any group demands to cancel their tour mid-way, the arrangement of transportation will be done by GTWI, however, cost for the same will be borne by the passengers on direct payment basis.
