Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m / 4600ft)

On arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted by our office representatives/driver outside the arrival gate. Transfer to hotel and meet other group members joining your sacred journey.

Day 02 – Kathmandu Cultural Tour

After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath Temple for darshan and perform puja. Visit Budhanilkantha Temple. Return to hotel for packing and preparation. Evening briefing about the yatra ahead.

Day 03 – Drive to Kodari/Tatopani Border (2300m)

First day of yatra! Drive from Kathmandu to Tatopani, Kodari border. The scenic drive takes you through lush green hills, rivers, and terraced farmlands. Drive 7-8 hours. Overnight in Kodari.

Day 04 – Cross Border to Nyalam (3700m)

Cross the Nepal-Tibet border and drive to Nyalam. This drive marks the beginning of your journey on the Tibetan Plateau. Drive 4-5 hours. Overnight in Nyalam for acclimatization.

Day 05 – Drive to Saga (4640m)

Continue your journey towards Saga, passing through high mountain passes with stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. Witness the vastness of the Tibetan plateau, dotted with nomadic settlements. Drive 6-7 hours.

Day 06 – Acclimatization Day in Saga (4550m)

Day 07 – Drive to Sacred Mansarovar Lake (4550m / 450km)

Sacred arrival! Long but rewarding drive to holy Mansarovar Lake (7 hours). Upon arrival, complete Mansarovar Lake Parikrama by coach (105km, 3 hours drive). Experience the divine energy of this sacred water body.

Day 08 – Mansarovar to Darchen (4600m / 35km)

Most sacred morning! Take holy bath in Mansarovar Lake, perform puja, hawan, and spiritual activities according to your tradition. Drive to Darchen (1 hour), the base camp for Kailash Parikrama.

Day 09 – Kailash Parikrama Day 1: Trek to Diraphuk (4880m)

Begin sacred kora! Drive to Yamadwar (43km, 1.5 hrs) to view Kailash’s south face – starting point of parikrama. Trek 12km (5-6 hours) with magnificent views of west face. Those unable to walk can hire horses at own cost.

Day 10 – Parikrama Day 2: Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La (4670m)

Most challenging day! Trek from Diraphuk to Dolma La Pass (5700m) – highest point of entire yatra at 18,600ft. Steep 3km climb before the pass, then descent passing sacred Gauri Kund. Total 22km trek, 8-9 hours of walking.

Day 11 – Complete Parikrama & Return to Saga

Final kora completion! Short morning trek to Maniwall (8km, 3 hours) where coach picks you up. Drive to Darchen (3km) to reunite with non-trekking members, then continue drive back to Saga (470km, 7-8 hours).

Day 12 – Return Journey to Nyalam
